But it wasn't just the winning — it was the show. Shadow ball routines, riding bicycles around the bases, pitching watermelons instead of softballs, all while playing championship-level fast-pitch that left opponents shaking their heads. Henry "Fats" Fisher pushed them out of Iowa and onto the national stage, and players like L.J. "Bambino" Favors and "Cool Papa" Johnson became legends of the barnstorming circuit.
