In the 1964 FA Cup run, Hurst scored goals for fun — two against Leyton Orient, goals against Swindon and Burnley, then setting up the winner against Manchester United in the semi-final after Moore beat three men and laid it on a plate. At Wembley, West Ham came from behind twice against Preston North End before Ronnie Boyce's last-minute winner sealed the club's first-ever major trophy. Moore lifted the cup. Two years later, they'd both be lifting something bigger.
