The Milwaukee Hawks represent an important chapter in NBA history and the early days of professional basketball in Wisconsin. The Hawks moved to St. Louis after the 1955 season and promptly reached four NBA Finals in five years, winning the 1958 championship over the Boston Celtics. That dynasty was built on the foundation laid in Milwaukee. The franchise eventually relocated to Atlanta in 1968, where they remain today.
