Diehard Montreal Canadiens fans know that Ken Dryden and Larry Robinson were the defensive foundation of the late-1970s dynasty. Dryden was the towering, intellectual goaltender who leaned on his stick between whistles like a man deep in thought — then shut the door on the league's best shooters with a calm precision that earned him five Vezina Trophies in just eight NHL seasons. "Big Bird" Robinson was the imposing defenseman who could end a rush with a devastating hip check and then lead the counterattack with a graceful skating stride that belied his 6'4" frame — a Conn Smythe Trophy winner and two-time Norris Trophy recipient. Together they anchored four consecutive Stanley Cup championships at the Montreal Forum from 1976 to 1979. If you're looking for a slick, retro t-shirt to represent the Canadiens and their unshakeable defensive backbone, you'll love this political campaign-themed throwback style tee. They have my vote, what about you?
