Brooklyn Royal Giants Vintage Logo Shirt - Retro Defunct Baseball Shirt

The Brooklyn Royal Giants were one of the East Coast's premier Black baseball clubs for nearly four decades, entertaining fans from 1905 to 1942. Founded by John Connor, owner of the Brooklyn Royal Cafe, the Royal Giants claimed eastern championships in 1909, 1910, 1914, and 1916, establishing themselves as a powerhouse during the earliest era of organized Black baseball. The roster read like a who's who of Negro League royalty — Hall of Famer Smokey Joe Williams, perhaps the most dominant pitcher in Black baseball history, hurled for the Royal Giants alongside fellow Hall of Famers Pop Lloyd and Louis Santop. Cannonball Dick Redding brought the heat from the mound while Chino Smith raked at the plate, hitting .439 in 1927. The Royal Giants played their home games at Dexter Park in Queens during their time in the Eastern Colored League and even beat a barnstorming squad led by Babe Ruth in 1926.
